I know this isn't a popular idea and could probably only come from a woman my age ,but women were happier when they stayed home and took care of their homes and families and the husband supported them. I never worked,my husband brought home the bacon . I would say he dominated. Actually we made decisions together, talking or even arguing it out. I can't recall any time either of us just went ahead without the approval or the other. OK. He made the money ,so he had the ultimate say-so,but he always respected my feelings . Nowadays, the women make as much or more than the men and when any little thing goes wrong ,or if they are just bored, they walk out.And they can afford to . I couldn't afford to. Actually most of the time neither of us could have lived as well, if we had separated. Now it is all too easy.
I realize this goes against all the Women's Lib stuff .But over the years I have watched marriage after marriage break-up on the rock of the wife getting a job.
When she is a stay-at-home ,she cooks dinner every night and doesn't think about it,if she goes to work she says "I'm too tired to cook ,let's eat out." If Hubby complains ,Wifey says ,"I'll Pay." Hubby isn't happy with it ,he's tired and he wants to get his shoes off ,but what can he say?
The only plus I can see ,is fathers are much more involved in raising their children, than when I raised mine . It isn't unusual ,now to see a proud young dad ,bring the baby into the doctor's office for a checkup. My son does the laundry ,cooks ,cleans up after, cleans the toilets, waits up for the kids to get home, does all the outside work and has a full time job. He can never work overtime ,because his wife has a better job ,with more money and HAS to work overtime. This has hurt him on his job,but he feels the kids are more important than a job.
I feel if so many women didn't work ,they would have to pay men more and there would be more lifetime jobs.Employers expected men to stay with the job and they expect women to jump from job to job ,with no loyalty to said Employer . Now there is no loyalty BY the employer to the employee. Why should there be ,when the employee will leave for just about any or even no reason?
I'm sure no one is going to listen to me and try to go back to the way things were before, but it does make me sad to see how unhappy so many of these women are ,even when they think they "Have it all."

France and the Germans are worried. It's so funny Great Britain has been America's partner in Iraq, but France and Germany have been totally on the side of Saddam,so why are the 'Youths" mad at Germany and France. I thought the nasty old US is the one causing all the anger ,with OUR war in Iraq.
What is grinding my cork is all this garbage talk coming out of the "elected Leaders " in Iraq . I guess they just want to kiss up to the party all our MSM say are going to win,but it sure shows a lack of gratitude and honor.
They will be talking out of the other sides of their mouths ,when the Republicans win.It ain't gonna be easy though. The Dims are already getting ready for multiple challanges and recounts. Now , why would they do that if they are so sure they are going to win? I would like to see some very smart ,clear-headed writer do a story ,on what would be happening ,if we HADN'T gone into Iraq. The dims want to hit the rewind button ( knowing all we know now)but you NEVER hear anyone say what Sadam and his little boys ,and the 'Deck of Cards' would have been up to all this time.
What do you think?
